Online courses are often used to reach wider audiences and to provide greater flexibility in how students can study.

Stella Cragie shares her experiences of designing an online course in translation. The course is designed for language students and people who are already translators in the workplace.

The course was moved online to provide greater flexibility as attending courses physically can be difficult for people who are in work, so with an online formula you can reach people all over the world.

Stella talks about how she set up the course, and what her teaching approach is, along with what the stidents have said about the course and outcomes she wasn’t expecting. She also gives hew views as someone who has been through this experience on the key things to think about when developing online courses.
